Queens County Republican Chairman Phil Ragusa passed away Tuesday, around 1pm, from complications due to his battle with leukemia. Chairman Ragusa dedicated his life to serving his community and the Republican Party. He voluntarily served the United War Veterans Council and the Little Neck Douglaston Memorial Day Parade doing their accounting and tax returns pro bono up until this year’s parade in May. He was a patriot who loved his city, state and country. Our prayers go out to the Ragusa family, friends and fellow Republicans who knew him. May you rest in peace Chairman Ragusa.

Stop the Elmhurst Homeless Shelter Now!
Queens was always the quiet, unnoticed and unheralded borough of New York City throughout most of its history. Its residents characteristically have been hard working citizens, who paid their taxes, obeyed the law, and sent their children to the best schools in order to do better than their parents.
However in recent weeks we awoke to find our beloved communities beginning to be transformed by a newly elected city administration which has violated its own laws and regulations.
Public Safety Message from Joseph Concannon
Ed Mullins, President of the NYC Sergeants Benevolent Association spoke out as a result of the recent NYS Supreme Court ruling. Here’s what he had to say:
NYPD members can be SUED! – State Supreme Court Judge Anil Singh
By Ed Mullins — Thursday, June 19th, 2014; 4:42 p.m. ‘Sergeants Benevolent Association E-mail’On Wednesday June 18, 2014 State Supreme Court Judge ruled members of the NYPD who engage in Stop, Question and Frisk can now be sued in accordance with the provisions of Local Law 71 as passed by City Council. Once again I remind each of you, this law impacts your career, family and overall well-being. As you go to work each day, your only assignment is to return home to your family. The POLITICIANS and the PEOPLE of this city are NOT SUPPORTING you, make no mistake about it! Shootings are on the rise and gun arrests are down. DO NOT jeopardize your safety, careers and pensions! We are currently exploring an appeal.
Video: The Growing VA Scandal and its Implications
Three distinguished speakers from the veterans community addressed the VA scandal and its sweeping implications at our General Club Meeting Thursday June 5, 2014 at our new meeting hall, the Knights of Columbus, St Anne’s Council in Glen Oaks, Queens. The Dept. of Veterans Affairs operates the nation’s health care system for our Veterans with over 1700 hospitals, clinics and other facilities. Now news reports of gross mismanagement, corruption, and abuses are coming to light as whistleblowers coming forward are exposing the veterans we left behind to die waiting on fraudulent lists. Our country has not lived up to its obligation to all our veterans to provide the care they deserve. The videos below recorded our three speaker’s testimonies of the horrific scandal and what can be done about it.

New Yorkers aren’t angry yet…but its coming….One year ago candidate de Blasio blasted NYPD for nine months, the media joined him, others sued the city, some joined federal cases, others poured hot oil on the fire (namely the NYC Council: Community Safety Act) and the majority of NYC’s registered voters stayed home (76%). Elections have consequences, read and take stock – we all own this now!
Here’s more…..

The Red Shirts are Coming!!
We’re making a big splash with our new Fire Engine Red Golf Shirts with our Club logo. Wearing the Queens Village Republican Club Golf Shirt is a way of branding the Republican Party and our Club to show our neighbors the glory of a new era for the Republican Party about to make a big resurgence in Queens. That’s marketing!
Take a look at the photos of our Club members modeling the shirts. They make the ladies look beautiful and sexy and the men, well….sorry, the men still need to work on their physiques.
Lt. Col. Allen West takes on Democrat City Councilman Daniel Dromm
In New York City, Democrat Councilman Daniel Dromm called for the removal of all JROTC programs in area public schools. Want to know why?
Dromm says JROTC trains kids for a “War Machine!”
NYC Councilman Dromm is a wimp, and he needs to pick on somebody his own size. That’s me!
I’ve set a rapid reaction fund to respond immediately to this wimp and his ridiculous plan to cut JROTC from New York City schools. Give now and send a clear message to Daniel Dromm that New York City kids deserve an opportunity to lead and succeed with JROTC!
