March to Support our NYPD

This is a copy of the letter by Queens Village Republican Club member, Frederick Bedell, published in the Post and the Queens Courier, calling for a counter march in support of New York’s Finest.

Al Sharpton, the De Facto Mayor of NYC

“Elections have consequences. Voting matters. Let’s spread the message even more powerfully than before to vote, get registered and get involved in the Party of Lincoln. We have a great opportunity to deliver that message for our fellow citizens and bring them to our upcoming “All-Star Candidates Rally” on August 26 at the Knights of Columbus meeting hall, to hear the words of our prophets to save our city, state and nation.”

Mayor de Blasio and Rev. Al Sharpton

New Yorkers enjoyed a delightfully balmy summer with pleasant temperatures hovering around the 70s. But a major storm is brewing in New York thanks to the apathy of the voters who allowed a radical minority of New Yorkers to determine the fate for all of us. Mayor de Blasio, elected by a mere 17% of the city’s voters, recently gave rabble-rouser Rev. Al Sharpton a mouthpiece at City Hall. Now Sharpton is the de facto mayor of the City of New York and threatened to shut down the Verrazano Bridge and New York City. White flags were raised over the Brooklyn Bridge in recognition of our city’s surrender to mayhem and lawlessness.

An Interview with Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Rob Astorino

“This is the start of Cuomogate. As more people are questioned, it will unfold. People are tired of the corruption in Albany. There’s a reason why New York has the highest taxes and the worst business climate.  The corruption has to come to an end.”

corruptionThis outstanding interview with Rob Astorino by Mitchell Langbert, associate professor of business at Brooklyn College was written as an exclusive for The Lincoln Eagle, a popular upstate newspaper written by its readers, that offers an alternative to the narrow-minded elitism of mainstream journalism.

An Interview with Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Rob Astorino

By Mitchell Langbert, Ph.D.

Mr. Robert Astorino’s choice of running mate, Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss, reveals much.  Sheriff Moss is president of the New York State Sheriffs’ Association, and he is a vocal critic of the SAFE Act. He will be the first African American statewide GOP candidate.

Christians under fire in the Middle East

In a recent editorial the New York Post bring much needed attention to “Iraq’s abandoned Christians” asking the question: “Does innocent human life matter in the Middle East if it is Christian?”

Since Israel has been defending itself from deadly Hamas rockets and terrorist tunnels, we have heard nothing but worldwide condemnation. But when it comes to the ethnic cleansing of the historical Christian community in Iraq and the “conversion or death” ultimatum to all Christians living in the newly declared caliphate, the Islamic State of Iraq, the world is silent.

Stop the Elmhurst Homeless Shelter – Part Two

The fight continues. Once again, frustrated residents of the Elmhurst community, over 1000 strong, came out to loudly protest the conversion of the Pan American Hotel into a homeless shelter. This was the second major protest since the first one over a month ago when the NYC Dept of Homeless Services moved in 41 homeless families surreptitiously and illegally without community notification. The next protest will be at City Hall. All Queens homeowners who are concerned about the quality of life in their communities need to be there.

What is Common Core?

common core protest-2Common Core is destroying our education system and hurting our children’s future. Many volunteers are presently circulating the petitions to create a “Stop Common Core” ballot line in November.  Rob Astorino and our statewide candidates, Chris Moss for Lt. Governor, Robert Antonacci for Comptroller and John Cahill for Attorney General are all listed on the peititons, since they have pledged their support to stop Common Core once elected.
