Joe Concannon speaks out against the Neighborhood Prison opening on Jamaica Ave. in Queens Village

The Program Is Called CLOSE TO HOME and involves the transfer of young people from NYS to NYC custody who will place them in Limited-Secure Placement Facility. This is the roll out of a new program that the NYC ACS has no experience in and no proper protocol to manage it. We Cannot Entrust This Agency with Our Family’s Safety! These facilities must meet certain minimum standards and be placed in more appropriate location.

BRING SIGNS, FRIENDS, FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS

Read this excellent letter to Governor Cuomo, copied to Mayor de Blasio other elected officials to stop the “Close to Home” program opening a prison in the Queens Village community
