Nikoloz Chkheidze: A Heroic Georgian Patriot

Nikoloz Chkheidze: A Heroic Georgian Patriot

By Robert Golomb

Dr. Chkheidze leading Georgian Parade, New York

The day April ninth, 1989 will always remain fixed in the mind of Nikoloz Chkheidze. On that day in his native nation of Georgia, 50,000 peaceful protesters from this eastern European country of almost four and a half million people assembled in the capital city of Tbilsi, calling for their independence from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR/ Soviet Union). Soldiers from that communist nation, which had held an iron fist rule over Georgia since 1921, used brute force to disperse the crowd; the  result was the deaths of 20 protesters and the injuries of hundreds of others.

Mother Nature: The Great Equalizer

Mother Nature: The Great Equalizer

By Joseph Concannon

“…The People of the State of New York have been subjected to a Corruption Tax.”

No one could argue that this last political cycle was contentious, partisan and filled with unrest and uncertainty.  The direction of the nation is about to do a 180-degree change that has some feeling unsettled.  Some of us find this refreshing and others are just downright combative and resistant as ever.  The Trump team is assembling, confirmation hearings have begun, and by the time you receive this newsletter we will have a new President.  Donald J Trump is now the 45th President of the United States of America.  Wow, what a year this has been!

Achieve Great Victories in 2017

Presidents Message for February, 2017, by Phil Orenstein

I want to wish a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to each of you and to the Republican Party! To make a fresh start at the beginning of the year, it’s important to repeat our mission statement as it appears in part on our website www.qvgop.org:

“The objectives of the Queens Village Republican Club are to promote the principles and purposes of the Republican Party, the civic welfare of the community, and to endorse and elect Republican candidates at the local, state and national levels.”

President Donald J. Trump

All Americans Unite behind Donald J. Trump, our President of the United States

By Frederick R. Bedell Jr.

It is now official that Donald J. Trump taken the oath of office, and is now president of the United States of America. Now let me point out that as a nation we ought to be united behind our president and should show him respect for the office he now holds. Now many groups around the country are protesting, including in Washington D.C. That includes some in congress who are boycotting our new president and who did not attend the Inauguration, which I find most troubling. And yet nothing can change the fact that President Trump is now our president and Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. We need to give President Trump a chance to make America great again and show him the respect his office deserves. He needs our cooperation and respect for America to be united so we can move forward and so democracy can thrive. Our differences must not divide us but lead us in directions that can unite us and help us to accomplish much in areas that serve the greater good. In closing let’s pray for President Donald Trump and that he succeeds for all Americans. Also May God Bless America in these most difficult times.
