Celebrating 150 Years of the Queens Village Republican Club!
By Phil Orenstein
President, Queens Village Republican Club
The year 2025 marks a momentous milestone—the 150th anniversary of the Queens Village Republican Club, the oldest continuously active Republican club in America. For a century and a half, our club has been at the forefront of political change in Queens, most recently underscored by the remarkable 21% voter shift toward President Trump in the 2024 presidential election. We are immensely proud to have played a role in the historic victory of our 47th President, whom we have supported unwaveringly from day one.
A renewed spirit is sweeping across America. With President Trump and his dynamic America-First administration at the helm, we are ushering in a Golden Age destined to last a century. At record speed, his administration is delivering on campaign promises—draining the swamp, cutting government waste, closing the border, banning DEI, protecting women’s sports, and restoring America’s respect on the world stage.
Our club remains committed to this mission, inspired by the charge given to us by Lt. Col. Allen West, former Texas GOP Chairman and Congressman (FL-22), keynote speaker at our 2009 Lincoln Day Dinner: “As the oldest GOP club in America, it is your duty to carry the torch for the Republican Party and its core principles for the whole nation.” As we approach our historic 150th Anniversary Lincoln Dinner, we believe we are fulfilling this task by creating an event so uplifting and patriotic that it will leave a lasting impact on our community and New York City for years to come.
A Night to Remember – March 2, 2025
On Sunday, March 2nd, we proudly present the grandest Lincoln Dinner in our club’s history. Our dedicated dinner committee is working tirelessly to make this event a celebration of patriotism, unity, and unwavering dedication to Making America Great Again. This annual gathering honors the legacy of the Grand Old Party—the party of freedom, human dignity, and true equality of opportunity.
Throughout history, in times of great challenge, America has been blessed with extraordinary leaders. President Abraham Lincoln, in our nation’s darkest hour, saved the Union and abolished slavery. His immortal words at Gettysburg remind us of our duty to uphold “a new birth of freedom… that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Today, under President Trump’s leadership, we embrace that same vision.
Keynote Speaker & Honorees
We are honored to welcome America’s Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, as our keynote speaker. Renowned for his heroic leadership in transforming New York City into the safest large city in America and guiding us through the aftermath of 9/11, Giuliani epitomizes courage and resilience. It will be a magnificent celebration to honor one of the greatest American patriots of all time.
Kicking off the evening’s program with the Lincoln Address is Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, visiting fellow at Heritage Foundation, and a leading voice in the American education reform movement, who was under consideration for U.S. Secretary of Education under President Trump. Our Master of Ceremonies is Steve Gillan, co-founder of Project Civica, a key figure spearheading the grassroots transformation of New York into a red state!
The evening’s highlight will be honoring outstanding American patriots who have dedicated themselves to bettering New York and America. These individuals, like President Trump, lead by example and tirelessly fight for our country’s values:
- Sara Carter – Award-winning investigative journalist and Fox News contributor, known for her fearless pursuit of truth and dedication to exposing corruption, national security threats, and government failures, is our special guest speaker and Investigative Journalist of the Year honoree.
- Scott LoBaido – Renowned patriotic artist, the “Relentless Patriot,” recognized for his legendary American flag paintings and political themed creations, will be celebrated as the Conservative Artist of the Year.
- Jayr Carter – Young freedom fighting activist, will be receiving the Young American Patriot of the Year award.
- Maud Maron – Republican Woman of the Year, a passionate advocate for justice and fighter for education reform. She is challenging Alvin Bragg for Manhattan DA, one of the most consequential races of 2025.
- “Joe The Box” – Founder of the famed America First Warehouse, “the most patriotic venue on the planet,” will be honored as the American Patriot of the Year.
- John Gilmore –seasoned advocate, strategist, and organizer fighting for health freedom, autism rights, and government accountability, is receiving the Freedom Fighter Award.
An Unforgettable Celebration
Our grand gala begins at 3:00 PM with a lavish cocktail hour, followed by a full-course sit-down dinner at 4:00 PM, in the multi-million dollar newly renovated main ballroom, complete with an open bar, a Viennese dessert table, and inspiring speakers and award presentations, followed by music and dancing by the inimitable DJ Jimmy James. The event will take place at the historic Antun’s of Queens Village—a venue that has hosted presidents, governors, and mayors since the 1950s.
