In the wake of the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist massacre—the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust—New York City became the epicenter of a disturbing surge in antisemitism. In the year that followed, antisemitic incidents in the city reached a historic high, with Jews targeted in 54% of all reported hate crimes, according to NYPD statistics.
The vast majority of these attacks occurred in the borough of Manhattan. This is not a mystery. It is the predictable result of a criminal justice system that has failed to function, enabled by the leadership—or lack thereof—of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. When prosecutors refuse to hold violent offenders accountable, chaos and hate fill the vacuum.
The May 1st meeting of the Queens Village Republican Club at Marbella Restaurant in Bayside, featured special guest speakers, John Paul Moran and Carin Bail. John Paul Moran was the main event talking about OppScore from GO USA, the Consumer Reports of politics. Carin Bail talked about the troubling rise of Antisemitism in our schools and what we have to do to stop it. Statement on the Antisemitic Student Riot at Hillcrest HS and Immediate Actions to be Taken
This is how it starts. On November 20, a mob of 400 students rioted at Hillcrest High School hunting down a Jewish teacher for going to a pro-Israel rally, threatening violence, destroying property, and forcing the teacher to hide inside a locked office to protect her life. As antisemitic hate crimes are on the rise in New York City, the Hillcrest HS pogrom broke out just days after a citywide Pro-Palestinian walkout of hundreds of students calling for ceasefire, cursing the Jews, burning Israeli flags, and warning those who support Israel, “your days are numbered.”
