District Attorney Daniel Donovan to Deliver
the Lincoln Address at GOP Gala
On Sunday March 22, 2015, Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan, the Republican and Conservative candidate for the May 5th Special Election for Congress in New York’s 11th District, will have a busy day. He will be coming from the Grand Openings of both his Staten Island and Brooklyn Campaign Headquarters that morning and travelling up to Queens to deliver the Abraham Lincoln Address in front of a large crowd at the 140th Anniversary Lincoln Dinner at Antun’s of Queens Village.
One of the best crime-fighting County DAs the city has known, DA Donovan has been Staten Island’s top prosecutor since 2003 and has helped to make Staten Island the safest borough in the safest large city in America. When Donovan first took office, Staten Island was ranked last in the entire city in felony convictions, and now under his leadership, Staten Island has ranked first in felony convictions.
The Queens GOP is excited that DA Donovan will be venturing outside of his Staten Island and Brooklyn district to present the prestigious Lincoln Address, discussing the issues of today in light of the leadership and legacy of America’s greatest president, who healed the Union and emancipated the slaves. New York City’s Republicans and Conservatives are united behind the candidacy of DA Donovan, in order to send someone to Washington who will provide the leadership, honor and character that Congress so urgently needs.
The keynote speaker is William Kristol, the founder and editor of the Weekly Standard and the Lincoln Dinner’s master of ceremonies, Steve Malzberg, is a nationally renowned conservative radio and TV personality. The dinner gala will feature other notable public figures, including Congressman Chris Gibson (R-Kinderhook), a decorated war hero, who will receive the first Rabbi Morton Pomerantz Veteran of the Year Award. Other honorees, dignitaries and GOP elected officials from throughout New York will be in attendance as well as some surprise speakers.
