Former U.S. Congressman and Fox News contributor John LeBoutillier spoke about national security at our January 2016 monthly meeting. It was a public forum and John delivered a riveting, inspiring presentation that articulated the politics behind Barack Obama’s failed leadership and his destructive foreign policy. John LeBoutillier is a renowned political commentator, columnist, radio and TV personality, author and public speaker. He is a former Republican Congressman who served in Northeastern Queens and was elected in 1980. He served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Special House POW/MIA Task Force. One of his books he co-authored with Ed Klein “The Obama Identity”. He appears every Sunday on Harris Faulkner’s Fox News show, Political Insiders.


VIDEO OF THE COMMUNITY MARCH AND CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR NATIONAL POLICE WEEK

Hundreds of residents of the Queens Village and Bellerose community in Eastern Queens came out for National Police Week, the annual week commemorating police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty each year. During 2014, 117 police officers nationwide died in the line of duty. Candlelight Vigils were held throughout New York City, Long Island and the nation, to show our gratitude and appreciation for the great service and sacrifice of our police officers for our safety and security. In this video and photos, you can see the spirited Community March from Our Lady of Lourdes Church to the 105th Police Precinct in Queens Village, as the community joined together in solemn gratitude to conduct the Candlelight Vigil to honor the memories of Det. Brian Moore and the brave men and women of law enforcement throughout the nation. WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL POLICE!!

Businessman of the Year: Harshad Patel, President of the Gujarati Samaj of New York, President and CEO of East End Hospitality Management Co., LLC.

The Harvey Moder Lifetime Achievement Award presented to: Katherine James, former NYC Board of Elections Deputy Chief Clerk of Queens County

Education Advocate of the Year Award presented to: David Lee, Co-founder and Director of CoalitionEdu, an education advocacy group seeking to preserve the high scholastic traditions of our Specialized High Schools of NYC.

Video: Bill Kristol’s Keynote Speech at 2015 Lincoln Dinner

William Kristol, keynote speaker at the 140th Anniversary Lincoln Dinner gave renewed hope and courage to all in attendance to stand up for Republican principles in a perilous world. He spoke for over 30 minutes addressing the major issues peppering them with stories and anecdotes from his youth growing up as a conservative in New York City, up to today, and ending with a questions and answer session. Kristol exuded great confidence in our future and the election of a Republican president in 2016.
