Remember the true meaning of July 4th

The 4th of July is today, and is also known as Independence Day. It is a time to remember that day 240 years ago where we said no more injustice. It is a time where Democracy took root. Since then we have been in many battles and wars where we fought for freedom and many lives were sacrificed to preserve what we all hold most dear. So on the 4th of July, please fly the American flag from home and office in honor for all those men and women who fought for truth, justice and the American way.

JOIN US ON THE ANNUAL QVGOP HISTORIC BUS TOUR!

Back by popular demand!  Last summer’s successful historic bus trip to fascinating sites in Queens, is back with a trip to The Bronx, a borough of interesting contrasts.  The date is June 25, a Saturday.  We leave from the Queens County Farm Museum at 9 AM.  We will tour the incomparable Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum in Pelham Bay Park and then City Island. If we get back to Queens early enough, we can tour the outdoors of the Farm Museum, something we didn’t do last year (we only toured the interior of the Adriance Farmhouse.) Bus includes toilet and kneeling door.
