President’s Message Dec 2017

President’s Message Dec 2017

By Phil Orenstein

This is a post-election message to look into the results, and more importantly to thank each of you for your courage, faith, and hope for a brighter future in America for our children and the next generation.

We campaigned and fought a valiant battle to wake up people from their apathy and ignorance. We united together for a great cause: the fundamental right in America for “we the people” to have our voices heard, to exercise our right to vote, and elect genuine capable leaders to represent us in our city government.  We campaigned hard and should be proud of our efforts. We fought so that “government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth,” recalling the words of our first Republican and one of our greatest American presidents, Abraham Lincoln.

Republicans: Don’t Hide the “R”!

Republicans: Don’t Hide the “R”!

By Rabbi Menashe Bovit

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Friends,

I’m sure many of us are smarting in pain following the results of the recent election here in NYC and our Borough of Queens.

We not only saw the reelection of a disastrous, destructive, Marxist, abortion on demand, Sharia enabling, illegal immigrant and criminal welcoming mayor who ran without legitimate opposition, but also saw our own Joe Concannon nobly work tirelessly day and night, staying on top of every and any local issue, with real solutions to community problems to only lose an election by a two to one margin.

There was an election tactic employed by the Republicans in which the candidates would run under a number of slates so that the “R” wouldn’t turn off voters who then would supposedly vote for the candidate and pretend that he or she wasn’t a Republican.

Enough with the Victim-hood: Millionaire Athletes and Their Lost Cause

By Sylvia Thompson on 1 October, 2017

I must admit I have never in my life purchased a ticket to a sports event. I am not a sports enthusiast. But I am an American black citizen, and I have had it up to the gills with black people who embrace victimhood. I also highly resent my being expected to do the same in order to affirm my “blackness.”

President’s Message – Nov 2017

President’s Message – Nov 2017

By Phil Orenstein

We’ve said it many times before and will keep saying it until we wake up. Elections matter. Voting has consequences, and now we see many of the unintended consequences in our neighborhoods and our city in decline as a result of dismally low voter turnout in past city elections.

The one power we enjoy as citizens is the act of voting and thereby holding our elected officials accountable. If we don’t vote we lose our power as citizens in America. Nothing scares our elected officials and defenders of the status quo more than an engaged public exercising their power to vote. Our founding principles give people a say in their government, meaning that we must exercise our votes and our voices. Everyone needs to get out and vote and encourage our neighbors and friends to do so on November 7th.
