Professor Gerald Matacotta, founder of the acclaimed History Seminar Series at Queensborough Community College, delivered the Lincoln Day Keynote Address in place of Rabbi Aryeh Spero who was detained at an airport, unable to make it due to the heavy snowstorm. In his address, Matacotta spoke on Lincoln and what he means to this country and about education. He warned the audience that the Republican Party has given up the school system of the United States to a group of elitists who used similar takeover tactics as the 20th century strongmen: Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler to hijack the education system. He ended calling on Republicans to take back the schools.
