The 139th Anniversary Lincoln Day Dinner, presented by the Queens Village Republican Club, the oldest and most diverse Republican Club in America was a blockbuster event celebrating our greatest American President and father of the Grand Old Party, Abraham Lincoln. This year’s annual gala broke all previous attendance records with over 200 guests! We are bursting with pride in our remarkable speakers, honorees and their stories of courage and success and we wish to thank all who attended and participated in this commemorative event.  Videos of each speaker will be posted on the website to save the historical speeches for posterity.  Here are some photos and more to come. These are some of the new faces of the Republican Party.

The diverse lineup of speakers and honorees each highlighted the core Republican principles and reaffirmed our goal of building the party here in Queens and electing Republicans to public office in New York who uphold our core principles.  We are entrusted with the greatest challenge to revitalize the GOP in New York City which has become a stronghold of progressive socialism led by Mayor Bill de Blasio with his divisive inaugural message of the “plantation called NYC” and with only one Republican elected official in the entire borough of Queens.

This is a momentous challenge, but entirely attainable since Queens in the past was a Republican stronghold. Everyone who owned a home or a business was Republican. We had dozens of Republican elected officials and even a Republican Borough president. We had Lincoln Dinners with over 500 guests at the Waldorf Astoria ballroom.

Our 139th Anniversary Lincoln Day Dinner marks a new start for the Republican Party in Queens as we send a message to Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio, who were invited but didn’t show, that we are not extremist and we are not dead. We are New Yorkers and our political views and values are part and parcel of the fabric of New York City and New York State. The GOP is here to stay and we will fight to make Queens and New York City a Republican stronghold once again!
