New Years Kickoff Meeting Videos

On January 6, 2022, we kicked off the New Year riding a massive red wave into 2022 with a fabulous club meeting with some amazing speakers, Gavin Wax, the dynamic president of the New York Young Republican Club, and Barbara from Harlem, the “Godmother” of Black Conservatives. City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino administered the oath of office for the installation of our 2022 Club Officers and Board Members and shared stories of her first day on the job. We had a couple of young and impressive Republican candidates: Stefano Forte for State Senate, and Seth Breland for State Assembly. Here are the videos and photos of the meeting.

How Democrats and their judicial puppets denied Trump and his voters a day in court

How Democrats and their judicial puppets denied Trump and his voters a day in court

Introduction: Conflicting Perspectives

Although the left and right have opposite definitions of “legitimate,” like the proverbial stopped clock that is right twice per day, with one caveat, leftists were right on one point, judicial illegitimacy. The caveat involves time. When leftists screeched that confirmation of Donald Trump’s nominees would make the judiciary illegitimate in their eyes, what really concerned them was that confirmations would convert the judiciary from practices the right thought were illegitimate to what the right thinks are legitimate.

Escaping the Racism of Low Expectations

Barbara from Harlem will be signing her compelling and illuminating memoir for purchase at the January 6th club meeting!

I am Barbara from Harlem and my God, my Country, and my Conscience are my guides.

I was a liberal by default. I asked no questions. I had no answers. I just pulled the lever to vote for Democrats as was expected of me. Most of my fellow Black Americans do not fully understand what the term “liberal” means, or who or what they are voting for. And, in turn they don’t realize how harmful those “liberal” policies are to our freedoms and liberties as Americans.

I was born into a culture that believes Black equals Democrat. A broken home, failed marriage, and a feeling of victimization fueled my need for inclusion, which the Democratic Party fulfilled. As an activist and member of the NAACP and Democratic Clubs in Harlem, the men I looked up to—the Rev. Jesse Jackson (whom I also campaigned for), Congressman Charlie Rangel, and Rev. Al Sharpton—reinforced the negative perceptions that shaped my world.

But just like false prophets, the false narrative that has been spoon-fed to us by Black leaders, the Black community, the media, and progressive politicians has enslaved Blacks in a victimhood mentality and entitlement mindset.

But my eyes were opened to reject victimhood and lack of accountability. My journey has proven to me that when you have clarity of conscience, love of God, and a deep-seated belief in America’s goodness, your life will be enriched and your focus will change to one of accountability.

I am Barbara from Harlem. I fought my way out. You can too.

Let Freedom Ring

By Professor Joseph Cheruvelil

In the heart of Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, a short distance from the Delaware River and Penn’s Landing, stands Independence Hall, one of the most sacred temples in our republic. It is in that building that in 1776, fifty-six patriotic men signed the declaration and pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, thereby jeopardizing their settled lives, their careers, and their wealth, even inviting death from King George and his war machine. Among the treasures in that historic building is the Liberty Bell with a small crack on its side. That crack reminds us that the freedom and individual liberties, which we take for granted, are fragile and that we must be vigilant all the days of our lives to let freedom ring, and to preserve our democracy, which even George Washington once described as “an experiment.”
