Joseph Ruggiere, Chairman of the Board, Community Federal Savings Bank of Woodhaven and Queens Village accepting the Businessman of the Year Award,
and
Dr. Candace de Russy, former trustee of the State University of New York, and nationally recognized writer and lecturer accepting the Educator of the Year Award

a posthumous award to Lance Cpl. Leopold F. Damas of Floral Park who died last August defending American interests in Afghanistan
