“National Police Week” commemorates police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty each year. During 2014, 117 police officers nationwide died in the line of duty.
This year, we are holding Candlelight Vigils all over New York City and New York State. We the citizens will join together to show our gratitude and appreciation for the great service and sacrifice of our police officers for our safety and security.
Come out, join us, wear something blue, bring a flashlight or candle, as we hold a moment of silence for those fallen heroes of law enforcement. Tragically, this year, Police Officer Brian Moore will join the wall of heroes. We hope you will take the time out to be with us and honor the memories of these brave men and women.
Let’s all join together in solemn gratitude as a community
and show the world:
WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL POLICE!!
This is not a political event, we are not soliciting speakers. This is a free grassroots community event only
