Assemblyman-Elect Tom Sullivan to go before Appellate Court
Stop the Steal! Justice Joseph Risi ruled that all 94 invalidated ballots are to be counted in the Assembly District 23 race between incumbent Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway) and Republican Tom Sullivan. Tom is appealing the decision. Hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 12, at 10 am at the Brooklyn Appellate Court, 2nd Department, 45 Monroe Pl. Downtown Brooklyn. Please support Tom’s Appeal!
Campaign Update for the NYS 23rd Assembly from Tom Sullivan
A group of bipartisan members of the NYC Board of Elections completed a physical review and count of 32, 000+ ballots yesterday. Some more ballots were included and some more were disqualified. That process put the Sullivan Campaign down by a NET 1 vote. I accept the result. The process was conducted fairly.
There are 4 remaining Affidavit votes that the Judge ruled need to be counted . I accept and respect the Judges decision on that matter. Not sure when those votes will be added to the final talley.
Lastly, is the matter of 94 votes disqualified by a bipartisan group from the NYC Board of Elections. That process was done fairly as well but the Judge decided against current Election Law and wants those votes counted. I objected to that decision and filed an appeal which will be heard on Monday, December 12th in the Brooklyn Appellate Court.
Justice Risi’s Flawed Decision
We question the integrity of Justice Risi’s decision when the Queens County Clerk who signed off on the decision is Audry Pheffer, the mother of Tom’s opponent Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato! Audry Pheffer was former Assemblywoman in 23AD!!
