SUMMARY:Next General Club meeting: KICKOFF TO VICTORY!!!
DESCRIPTION:Next General Club meeting:\nThursday Sept. 4\, 2025 at 7:30 pm\nMarbella Restaurant\n220-33 Northern Blvd. Bayside\, NY 11361\nMeeting is held in the Banquet Hall \n_________________________________________________________ \n$5 Entrance Fee for Non-Members\n_________________________________________________________ \nEducating and Informing all New Yorkers since 1875\n_________________________________________________________ \nKICKOFF TO VICTORY!!!\nAfter a long hot summer\, it’s time to rise up and take back New York City and elect Curtis Sliwa for Mayor\, and our great Republicans running for local offices. Come join us and hear from inspiring speakers and our Republican candidates as we charge ahead full speed toward victory on Election Day\, November 4\, 2025!\n \nFeaturing:   \nHenry Ike  \nRepublican for Queens Boro President. Multi-talented and successful investor\, real estate developer\, musician\, record label owner\, and author. A true Renaissance man.    \n \nPeter Kefalas  \nRepublican for NYC Comptroller. Lifelong New Yorker\, small business owner\, financial consultant\, community activist and fighter for the people. He will be the fiscal watchdog NYC needs.\n  \n\nJames B. Ferguson Jr.\nWe are honored to welcome James Ferguson\, who served as a tough-on-crime Commissioner on the New York State Parole Board from 2005 to 2018\, appointed by Governor Pataki. After more than a decade of distinguished service\, he was removed by Governor Cuomo\, who replaced him with the polar opposite – leftwing criminal justice reform activists. Under their tenure\, more than 40 cop killers were released\, including notorious terrorists such as Herman Bell and Anthony Bottom of the Black Liberation Army\, and David Gilbert of the Weather Underground\, convicted for his role in the 1981 Brink’s robbery and the murder of two police officers and a security guard. James will share his inspiring story with us\, and explain why New Yorkers must reject the failed leadership of Andrew Cuomo and stand with Curtis Sliwa for Mayor of NYC. \nSee speakers bios below.\n_____________________________________ \nStay tuned. More to come…..\nCoffee and refreshments will be served\nPlease visit QVGOP.org for more info   \n_____________________________________ \nMeet Henry Ikezi\nBuilder\, Leader and Advocate.\n\n\nAs a proud resident of Queens for over three (3) decades\, I know the challenges and opportunities that make our borough the most diverse and dynamic in America. My vision is rooted in common sense solutions\, economic empowerment\, and ensuring a safe\, thriving community for all. \nWith over two (2) decades in real estate\, I have revitalized distressed neighborhoods\, creating over 1\,000 homes and improving countless lives. \nI attended Aviation High School in Queens\, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics\, Economics and Law from SUNY Old Westbury and subsequently studied for a Master’s Degree in Political Science at St. John’s University in Queens. I live\, work and build in Queens – because our community deserves the best. \nMy roots in Queens run deep. Unlike politicians who campaign in communities\, but do not live in them\, I have made a lifelong commitment to live\, work and serve in Queens. My vision is clear: a borough that is safer\, stronger and filled with opportunities for all residents. \nI am a leader rooted in Queens\, a builder and an advocate who has spent over two (2) decades revitalizing Queens. From creating affordable housing to fighting for small businesses and public safety\, I am committed to improving the borough. \nNow\, I am running for Queens Borough President to bring real leadership\, real solutions and real change to our communities. My approach goes beyond construction. I focus on neighborhood transformation\, economic growth and community well-being. \nI am not a career politician. I am a problem solver and a fighter for the people. With your support\, I am ready to bring real leadership and real solutions to our borough. Please join me in making Queens the home our families deserve.    https://voteike.com/ \n_____________________________________ \n\nAbout Peter Kefalas\n\n\nA New Yorker Who Fights for the People\nPeter Kefalas is a lifelong New Yorker with deep roots in Queens and a relentless drive to hold those in power accountable. Raised in Rego Park\, Peter witnessed firsthand the struggles of hardworking families\, watching his single mother juggle multiple jobs while pursuing her education to build a better future for her children. These early experiences instilled in him a profound respect for perseverance\, fiscal responsibility\, and the importance of standing up for what is right. \nA Career Built on Accountability and Leadership\nWith decades of experience in business development\, sales strategy\, and financial consulting\, Peter has helped companies expand their market share\, streamline operations\, and operate within tight budgets. He has worked with businesses of all sizes—from small startups to multinational corporations—developing strategies that promote efficiency and long-term growth. \nAs a small business owner and consultant\, Peter has been a trusted partner in fixing\, growing\, and training sales teams for various companies across multiple industries. His expertise in financial oversight and operational efficiency has made him a respected leader in the private sector—skills that he now applies to advocating for transparency and fiscal discipline in government. \nChampion for Civic Engagement & Media Transparency\nFor the past year\, Peter has been a key figure at QNS Voice (qnsvoice.com)\, a grassroots media outlet dedicated to covering issues that mainstream news ignores. Through investigative journalism\, interviews with political figures\, and in-depth reporting\, QNS Voice has become a powerful platform exposing government overreach\, corruption\, and the failures of city leadership. \nIn addition to his media work\, Peter is the author of “1984 Bureaucratic Tentacles: Rise and Fall of The Chevron Doctrine\,” published on August 3\, 2024. His book explores the collapse of the Chevron Doctrine\, a legal principle that allowed unchecked bureaucratic power at the federal level. This doctrine’s downfall signals a shift toward greater government accountability—something Peter believes must extend to the state and city levels. \nA Fighter for the People of NYC\nPeter has never shied away from a fight when it comes to standing up for the rights of New Yorkers. In 2024\, he led a grassroots movement against the construction of homeless shelters in Rego Park that were pushed through without community input. He mobilized residents\, organized protests\, and brought national attention to the lack of transparency in city planning decisions. \nThrough his activism\, media presence\, and relentless pursuit of accountability\, Peter Kefalas has proven himself to be a champion for everyday New Yorkers. Whether exposing financial mismanagement\, pushing for fair policies\, or advocating for those whose voices have been ignored\, he remains committed to making New York City a place where taxpayers are respected\, businesses can thrive\, and government operates with integrity. \nStay informed. Stay engaged. The fight for a better NYC starts here.  https://www.peterkefalas.com/ \n_____________________________________ \nCOMMISSIONER JAMES B.
