Authorities called it an “illegal in-person gathering” in violation of covid restrictions. After a subsequent church service\, Pawlowski was arrested and dragged off in handcuffs in the middle of a highway by a heavily armed SWAT team. Video of that arrest also went viral\, and arsonists targeted his property while he and his family were home.\nPastor Pawlowski was quoted as saying “I escaped communism. I escaped Poland because I wanted to come to a country that is free”.
