She is the devoted mother of five beautiful and bright children\, four who have graduated from the public school system and are in law school\, graduate school and college and the youngest who is still in elementary school. Mrs. Sharp began an amazing journey through all things “Common Core” and will share her research and insights\, that will not only educate us but terrify as well. Her eyes upon the NY State education system started as the direct result of her own family’s personal battle with the New York State Education Department – she and her husband were victorious. Her journey into all things “Common Core” brought her to research every last detail of the truth about this federal/corporate takeover. She has established several social media and web pages\, where she is adept at giving detailed analysis and engaging in stimulating dialogue for the singular purpose of helping to inform and enlighten her fellow tax paying-American citizens about what has been happening in our state and 44 other states throughout our nation concerning the Common Core “regents reform agenda”. \n ***Common Core expert\, Mary Calamia. is a clinical social worker who has worked with children and adolescents since 1995. She maintains a private practice in Stony Brook\, where she serves children and families from more than 20 different school districts. Mary has testified to the NYS Assembly about the emotional damage children are experiencing since the implementation of the Common Core and is an ardent warrior in this battle. Mary partners with a 100 pound yellow Labrador Retriever named\, “Jack”\, who helps the children to find joy and laughter at times when it feels impossible.

SUMMARY:March General Club Meeting

The Queens Village Republican Club\, Inc. has a policy of non-endorsement of Republican candidates involved in a primary contest. Also as a Club\, we support Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment to speak no ill about fellow Republicans. There will be absolutely no bashing of fellow Republican candidates at our meeting. These policies are designed with the overall health and stature of the Party in mind in order to win elections against the Democrats. Politics can be an ugly business and this is to be expected. But we must remember\, the only way to defeat Obamacare is to elect Republicans. Remember\, Obamacare passed with 86% Democrat support and 0% Republican support. We need to keep our eyes on the prize and ensure that all parties get behind the winner of the Republican Primary in order to defeat Democrats Rep. Steve Israel in the 3rd District and Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice in the 4th District. \n  \n

SUMMARY:South Asian Outreach Meeting to Save our City!
DESCRIPTION:What can we do to save our neighborhoods\, our city and our country from ruin? \nOutreach Meeting hosted by Pushap and Nishi Bandhu @ 12:00 Noon on Saturday. \nAll friends and family from the community are invited\, young and old. Last Saturday we spoke about the destructive ideological polices of Mayor de Blasio that will hurt us all and ruin our city\, like Detroit\, once America’s most wealthy city\, now bankrupt\, with crime out of control\, now America’s most dangerous and poorest city. The welfare policies of the past 30 years have ruined families\, destroyed our cities\, created mass unemployment and government dependence on the backs of the middle class taxpayers\, that’s us. \nNYC has been safe and secure up to now\, protected by Republican Administrations for the past 20 years\, but before that\, during the Dinkins administration\, crime and murders were at an all-time high\, and millions of people were fleeing NYC because it was too dangerous to live here. Now with Mayor de Blasio’s anti-law enforcement policies\, high crime rates are already returning. The Mayor has already vowed to create 200\,000 affordable housing units and he just put together a team to implement his plan. They just met yesterday: http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20140304/BLOGS04/140309966/de-blasio-housing-team-pow-wows-with-advocates#\nThis is another way they will squeeze us out\, the middle class. We hard working taxpayers\, who just want to live our lives in peace and pursue the American Dream. Section 8 (subsidized welfare housing) housing is coming to all our neighborhoods\, with people with many kids\, living on welfare\, food stamps and worse. Since they have no appreciation for government handouts since they did not earn it themselves\, they won’t take care of their properties\, and the all home values will likewise decline in our own neighborhoods. \nWe all need to educate people and fight back. We need to stand up now! We cannot wait until things deteriorate and our city goes back to slums\, crime\, drugs\, gangs and poverty. That’s why we are meeting\, to preserve our communities\, for our safety and security and to save our city and country. Please talk to your friends\, educate them\, get them excited\, make them aware of what’s happening to our communities and bring them on Saturday. We will plan more meetings\, bigger meetings\, mobilize people and organize so we can elect true leaders of the people who care and understand the needs of our communities.

SUMMARY:Little Neck - Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:LN – Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Planning Meeting\nDate: Wed.\, March 26\, 2014\nTime: 7:30pm\nLocation:\n\nCommunity Church of Little Neck\n46-16 Little Neck Parkway\nLittle Neck\, NY 11362\n\nStatement on Little Neck – Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Website:\n\nSince 1927\, in war or peace\, rain or shine the people of New York City have marched on Northern Boulevard in America’s largest Memorial Day Parade to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts over the course of our Nation’s history. We have marched to remember the fallen and honor those who serve.\nIn addition to the parade\, an annual Art & Essay Contest open to all area students in grades K-9 traditionally takes place and a pre-parade Inter-Faith memorial service dedicated to those who have died in the service of our military forces is celebrated at one of our local houses of worship. None of this is possible without the generous financial support of many dedicated people. \nThe United War Veterans Council (UWVC) and others have indicated their willingness to help produce the 2014 Parade. It is hoped that members of our community will step forward to continue the tradition. \nIf you care about the parade\, please get involved! The next meeting will take place at the Community Church of Little Neck on March 26\, 2014 at 7:30pm. This web site is not affiliated with the parade committee. \nAll the best\,\nGod Bless America and those who serve

SUMMARY:Hispanic Outreach Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Queens Village Republican Club will be hosting our first Outreach Meeting to the Hispanic Community on Monday March 31 at Jim Trent’s house. We invite all our members and friends of the Club to bring your Hispanic friends and neighbors to join us in discussing the issues that affect our communities and to spread the core principles of the Republican Party to our friends in the Hispanic community. \nWe are aiming to reproduce the same successful “parlor meetings” we have been holding in the South Asian community. Some of our South Asian friends who live in Floral Park\, have been gracious enough to open their homes and host bi-monthly meetings in their living rooms. They have invited their friends\, co-workers and neighbors in to discuss the issues and values we all cherish in our quest to save NYC from the destructive progressive policies of de Blasio and take leadership in our communities to make Queens a better and more prosperous place for all of us. \nEric Mingott\, U.S. Marine (Ret.)\,Jesus Gonzalez\, Republican Candidatefor Assembly in the 39th ADand his lovely wife \nWe have lists of fellow Republicans and Conservatives with Hispanic surnames in the local Assembly Districts\, provided thanks to our friend Eric Mingott. We will set up future meetings at the home of some local residents who volunteer to host regular outreach meetings for the Hispanic community. We ask the attendees to volunteer to take a few names each from the list and make calls to make the meetings a success. \nSee you there! \n
