A Vote for Steve Israel is a vote against the State of Israel

Congressman Steve Israel is “joined at the hip” to President Obama.  A vote for Steve Israel is a vote against the State of Israel. It’s a vote for the development of Iran’s nuclear weapons; it’s a vote for the burgeoning menace of ISIS; it’s a vote for the rearming of Hamas in preparation for another war against the Jewish state; it’s a vote for continued chaos and bloodshed in the Middle East without a coherent strategy in sight. The national security of the United States and the State of Israel are at stake here.

Steve Israel’s position of Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) means that Steve Israel is spending much of his time working against the interests of our district and our country.   As Chairman of the DCCC, Steve Israel tours the country to raise funds for Obama and enemies of the State of Israel in Congress.  Steve Israel also appointed an openly anti-Israel bigot and America-basher, Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN), as Steve Israel’s Vice Chairman of the DCCC. Ellison has publicly attacked and threatened Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling for a “red line” against the State of Israel.  Ellison voted against Israel’s Iron Dome protections against terrorist rockets from Hamas, and voted for opening negotiations and against sanctions on Iran.

Steve Israel also works closely with Nancy Pelosi, and failed to challenge Nancy Pelosi’s outrageous statement that “Hamas is a humanitarian organization.” Steve Israel’s silence is deafening regarding Obama’s disastrous strategy of seeking Iran as a coalition partner.

When Steve Israel seeks votes in our district, he panders to the concerns of voters in our district regarding national security and the State of Israel.  However, Steve Israel shows a different face in Washington DC.  In Washington, Steve Israel votes with the Democrat House leadership 94% of the time. Steve Israel aptly described the relationship between himself, Obama and House Democrats when he said: “We are joined at the hip, there is no daylight between us.”  This is the same Democrat Party that removed references to “God” and “Jerusalem as the capital of Israel” from the party platform, and was greeted by a loud chorus of “nays” when they dodged parliamentary procedures and reinserted it Chicago-style to protect the political careers of incumbent Democrat candidates.  We don’t need a congressman who is “joined at the hip” with a president who tries to browbeat Israel into withdrawing to indefensible borders and who is making it possible for Iran to obtain a nuclear bomb.

Steve Israel voted to defund the NYPD’s successful counter-terrorism program.  This is dangerous in light of recent reports that ISIS is targeting Times Square for a major attack. Also Steve Israel is intimately involved with the pro-peace organization, J Street, funded by billionaire George Soros. J Street is a leftwing front group for Palestinian causes that attacks Israel for defending itself against terrorism; they back anti-Israel candidates and co-founder Daniel Levy condemns Israel’s very founding. Steve Israel was an honorary member of the host committee for J Street’s Gala Dinner on October 27, 2009. Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, criticized Steve Israel and all those supporting J Street. While many elected officials shunned J Street, Steve Israel was the only Jewish member from New York’s delegation, remaining on the host list.

New York’s Third District sorely needs a new voice.  We need a powerful and independent voice to stand up for America’s interests and the interests of our greatest ally, the State of Israel.

That voice is Grant Lally, Republican candidate for Congress in New York’s Third District.  Grant Lally is an accomplished attorney with an impressive national security background, who will continue to stand up for the State of Israel’s right to self defense, and the State of Israel’s right to defensible borders.  Grant Lally will not be beholden to a president that undermines the State of Israel at every turn. Grant Lally will continue to fight to stop Iran’s nuclear program, and will advocate for a clear strategy to destroy Hamas and ISIS. As Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his recent address at the United Nations General Assembly, Hamas and ISIS are “branches of the same poisonous tree,” Grant Lally understands this and will champion America’s and Israel’s safety and security.

That’s why I’m voting for Grant Lally.
