VIDEO OF THE COMMUNITY MARCH AND CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR NATIONAL POLICE WEEK

Hundreds of residents of the Queens Village and Bellerose community in Eastern Queens came out for National Police Week, the annual week commemorating police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty each year. During 2014, 117 police officers nationwide died in the line of duty. Candlelight Vigils were held throughout New York City, Long Island and the nation, to show our gratitude and appreciation for the great service and sacrifice of our police officers for our safety and security. In this video and photos, you can see the spirited Community March from Our Lady of Lourdes Church to the 105th Police Precinct in Queens Village, as the community joined together in solemn gratitude to conduct the Candlelight Vigil to honor the memories of Det. Brian Moore and the brave men and women of law enforcement throughout the nation. WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL POLICE!!
