The Most Memorable Memorial Day 2014

Congratulations to the Little Neck Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Committee, the American Legion Post #103, sponsors, the United War Veterans Council (UWVC) and community volunteers for the great success of the most well attended and best Memorial Day Parade since the date of its inception in 1927. Thanks go as well to all the marchers from the Queens Village Republican Club parade unit with our most successful showing of 30 marchers including 4 elderly members who rode the parade in cars behind our banner.  Congratulations to all for the commitment to honor those who have paid the ultimate price of freedom.

Here are some of the highlights of Memorial Day, May 26, 2014 in photos, from the Interfaith Service in the morning to the moving Closing Ceremonies with the Grand Marshals.
